The powers that be at Microsoft released to the public the Windows 8 Consumer preview last week at the World Mobile Congress. A slightly unusual move considering the glorious PC past and present of Windows. One would think that a Windows Consumer Preview (Microsoft's term for a beta) would be released at a software expo. This clearly indicates Microsoft's intent to dominate the mobile phone software market segment.
